It’s early and I’m having my morning coffee to jump start my day.
Well, I must confess that I don’t have coffee every single morning.
It’s not like I’m addicted or anything.
I just drink it on those days when it’s freezing cold outside.
You know the kind of day when your toes are frozen and you just
can’t seem to get warm? Yeah….you know what I’m talkin’ about.
But you know something? Coffee just tastes so much better
when I am sipping it out of my Polish Pottery.
Gosh I just LOVE this stuff!
Each piece is hand painted in Poland it’s while it’s pretty pricey,
I seem to squeeze another piece in here and there.
(Shhh…don’t tell)
What started out as a simple collection has turned into being
over 120 different pieces in my collection.
I purchased a special buffet to display my collection.
It truly makes me smile to see all the beautiful colors and variety of design.
Nothing matches, just the style and the fact that it’s all Polish Pottery.
BTW, I hear you can get this stuff in Poland for dirt cheap.
Seems they make the more decorative pieces in the USA!!!!
Oh well……
So let me ask you?
Do you collect anything special that brings Joy to Your Heart?

Meet Haley. She’s my loving little Schnauzer that adores the company of anyone who will cuddle with her. She’s the perfect dog if I may say so myself!
After having lost our other dog to cancer, we set out to find a dog that we could have indoors and my allergies could tolerate. We found a breeder in Quincy, WA who presented us with photos online and we were able to pick her out weeks ahead. The anticipation was so much fun for our family and picking her up has created memories to last a lifetime.
It’s been great for our kids to have an animal to take care of and love. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Haley is our little snuggle pup and she fits into the family well.

Honestly? I never was a coffee drinker until I moved to the PacNW.
These cold winters really did me in.
But it can’t just be ANY coffee.
I never drink my coffee black.
Never have.
Never want to.
Never will.
Yuck! I take that back. “DOUBLE YUCK!”
I like the kind of coffee that kicks me in the butt and puts new meaning to the term, “muffin top”.
Gosh, maybe that’s my problem! Oh well!
Give me a triple shot 20 oz white chocolate caramel breve’ with whipping cream to boot.
Yep! That’s how I like it and it’s always a treat for me on a rainy day when I have to drive 30 miles to get to the nearest shopping adventure.
It’s my little way of rewarding myself and I won’t lie. It just makes me feel SO good inside to hold a cup of warm coffee while everywhere around me is flippin’ cold.
Chinook Coffee Company is my favorite drive thru coffee shop.
So cozy sweet on the outside and their coffee ROCKS!

Okay, so I’m one of those moms who had a little surpise in my mid 30’s.
Well, let’s just say it wasn’t so ‘little’. I was shocked speechless and spent the next 8 months or so sorting it all out.
Honestly, I had just joined a gym 2 weeks prior to getting pregnant so one of the ways I learned to deal with my ever-so-changing body was to remind myself ……
that I’d have TIGHT abs again…..at least until I gave birth. Ha!!
This picture was taken and sent out as a ‘thank you’ card to all my guests at the baby shower. I LOVED including my girls in this pregnancy. What a gift!

We headed over to my parents house
to let the kids play on the lake.
We had a BLAST!
Mom and Dad bought this paddle boat
and Jason, being only 3, was a little concerned about it.
So, he watched the girls have fun
and warned them to watch out for sharks.

Hangin’ out with my teenagers is something I’ve been known to do.
But I’m certainly over trying to be cool. Geez, that ended years ago.
Dang!!!
My door is open. All my girls’ friends know they are welcome here
and they know I genuinely like having them around.
I’ve been in youth leadership in some way, shape or form since 2001.
Now that my own three girls are teenagers,
I’ve taken a back seat to working directly with the students
because, well, they don’t want me lurking around.
Awww…….
So, I’m on the Peninsula Young Life committee where I help plan events and stuff.
Cool! I like planning fun stuff for other people to do!
I also will be volunteering at the high school once a week.
I’m hoping to get in an art class where I can interact with
the students and be an encouragement to them.
Teens these days need to be lifted up and know that
there are people around that care.
This picture was taken at the Young Life camp in June of 2009.
Check out my daughter, Ceaira. She’s the girl towards the left wearing the
crazy striped knee high socks and the super big glasses. Oh, and don’t
forget the sports bra OVER the t-shirt. LOL
I'm a mom of 4 great kids and I live on the coast of WA with my hubby and little Schnauzer, Haley. Life is good and every day is one glorious adventure. Never a dull moment on this side of the road! Questions? Just ask. Love to chat sometime!
